Welcome to Dogsledding at its Best!

If you think you have "been there and done that"
you may be surprised. Our tour is unique
and different and so much fun.

We offer you dog sledding at its best! It is a complete hands-on experience that allows you to interact closely with real huskies. You will find our beautiful white blue-eyed huskies at the Arctic Chalet where your tour will start.

Your dog sledding experience will start with a briefing session. We will explain to you the basic commands for turning left and right, how to control speed with the brakes and other tips that will make your sledding tour safe and enjoyable.

You will then meet your lead dog and possibly help to hook up a few of your team dogs. Now you are ready...."

Your team will be following our lead team out onto the lake behind the Chalet and into the arctic wilderness. You will travel on our own trail system most of the time over some gentle hills, across several frozen lakes, through spruce forests and through a lovely stand of birch trees on a little ridge. Sometimes we head over to the Mackenzie River and through the winding little creek that leads back to the warmth of the Chalet.

During our standard tour, you will have experienced the thrill of completely guiding your own small dog team of four to six dogs from start to finish. On our unique trail system you do not have to always follow the team ahead of you. During the run there are many opportunities to turn your dogs onto other parallel trails and the dog teams remain relatively close to the lead team so that help is available whenever it is needed.

As many say, "It's an experience of a lifetime."
